Re-visiting The Big Rocks

Let's revisit one of the fundamental philosophies of Wellness Made EC...

I was reflecting on the past couple of years and thinking about patients I have seen. After gaining more experience, I wanted to review one of my original posts and emphasize it even more. I have realized that we all make it way too complicated. It is pretty simple if you sit down and look at your life from 10,000 feet above. There are some big rocks in our life that we have to do. There is no supplement, magic pill, magic cream, or doctor that can help us.

Only we can do these things and no amount of planning or avoiding one or the other can negate them. The Big Rocks in review are :

  1. Eating real whole foods - avoiding processed foods, artificial additives, or chemicals. If your great-grandparents would not recognize it, do not eat it. As a rule, nature does not provide food with bar codes.

  2. Exercising and moving.

  3. Sleeping well at night and resting during the day.

  4. Handling stress. We are going to have stress in this life. It is how we mitigate it and handle it that matters!

  5. Forming relationships and connections with others. I think the past few years of the pandemic have taught us that without a doubt - we need other people.

I will continue to go deeper into all these things, but I wanted to review them and re-emphasize their importance. Remember, it is the process over perfection, taking baby steps, and moving forward!
