One Simple Thing to Brighten Your Day and Mood

I am a strong proponent of the mind-body connection. Nature is good for the soul. Bring a little in to enjoy. Flowers manifest the beauty and wonder of nature and delight our senses. It feels good to be around them. It will make you smile!

My favorite trick to flower bouquets has been the grocery store (I do LOVE Trader Joe's for this). Each week when I am doing my weekly grocery shopping, I purchase one to two flower bouquets. I get home and divide them into about three different large-mouthed mason jars to place in my kitchen, dining room, and living room. Now, I am no florist, so this picture goes to show the flowers are pretty easy to arrange in an aesthetic way to brighten any living space!

Another way to do this is purchasing flowers from a local farmer's market. I have found some of the prettiest flowers at our Saturday morning farmers market. There are many ways to bring flowers into your home in an inexpensive way (you could even grow your own!), so try this trick out this week to brighten your living space, create that "home-y" feeling, and reap the mental benefits of having these guys around. You will not regret it!
