Life Hack: Instant Pot Boiled Eggs

Whether you like your eggs soft-boiled or hard-boiled, this kitchen trick using your Instant Pot is guaranteed to save you time, boiling water, and a mess!

I have an obsession with making boiled eggs in my new Instant Pot. It is a great way to meal prep early on in the week to have the BEST soft or hard boiled eggs on hand for breakfasts and snacks all week long.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water

  • 4 eggs

  • Instant Pot with Trivet

How To

Start with pouring the water into the base of the Instant Pot. Place the trivet inside of the pot. Place the eggs on the trivet being sure to equally space them out. Close the lid, and set the pressure on Low Pressure for 3 minutes. You have two options when the Instant Pot beeps at the end of the three minutes.

For SOFT boiled eggs where the yolk is runny, remove the eggs from the Instant Pot immediately and place them in a bowl of room temperature water until they have cooled.

For HARD boiled eggs, leave the eggs in the Instant Pot for 1-3 minutes after the beep. The longer you leave the eggs inside, the more hard boiled they will be.

Either way, store the boiled eggs in the refrigerator after they come to room temperature or eat right away topped with a little Everything But the Bagel Seasoning!

For a favorite breakfast of mine, throw a soft boiled egg on top of chopped sweet potatoes with a quarter to a half of an avocado for a twist on the classic avocado toast - you will not regret it. Enjoy!
